At What Age Is A Pug Full Grown?

Last Updated on March 26, 2022 by Sam

The Pug is a small dog breed that originated in China. It became popular among both the Chinese and Europeans through trade in the 1800s, but it was originally bred for its’ distinctive “mask” markings. These were meant to scare away bad spirits from houses and protect people from ill fortune. The pug’s name derives from the French word porc-├ępic, meaning pig face or hog faced (the traits of their snouts). Their short hair can be brown, black or apricot with white markings on their chest and feet.

The “when do pugs calm down” is a question that has been asked for years. The answer to this question can vary depending on the breed of the dog, but generally speaking they won’t be full grown until they are at least 2 years old.
